5 out of 5 stars Distorted   March 7, 2010

The song itself is excellent, and I gave it 5 stars to reflect that. However, the previous reviewers are correct; it sounds badly clipped with distortion in almost every drum beat that bleeds over the lyrics. Surely that was a mistake someone will notice and correct. The live version of the song from the Ok Go website is actually a better recording. At least the levels were set correctly.

5 out of 5 stars Love The Song   June 10, 2010

I am not a musicophile type of person that notices a lot of 'cloudy or distorted' music. However, this one was very noticable. I like the song and I rated this a five stars for that. However, I agree with all of the other reviewers. This recording is distorted. I told my husband it sounded 'cloudy', you can hear it and it's ok but it's not quite bright and clear and crisp as expected.

3 out of 5 stars bass sounds like woofer is blown out   March 7, 2010

Other than the distortion, this is a great song. I found out about it via their awesome Youtube Rube Goldberg video. Unlike many modern songs, this one can stand on its own without the video. I got my copy via [...]. It does seem unlikely that the distortion would be intentional. That aspect of the song truly sounds bad.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible distortion   January 21, 2010

I'm almost certain that OK GO did not intend this song to sound as distorted as it does, but the distortion is really terrible. It sounds like it is being played over a cellphone speaker. As it is, this song is painful to listen to.
