Ten One Design has just launched SoundClip, a passive sound enhancer that amplifies the audio on your iPhone 3G by 10dB between 5kH and 20kHz. It's a tuned conical deflection chamber designed to make the audio from your iPhone clearer and also slightly louder. The sound waves are reflected toward you, instead of away. The resonance chamber is tuned to actually improve the sound from your iPhone, resulting in a frequency response that is flatter, and more natural sounding. But it's really just a small boost of sound. If you've ever cupped your hand around the speaker to hear it better, it's kind of like that. When you're playing a game though, sometimes that's all you need.
The SoundClip fits into the dock connector and when not in use or while charging, the SoundClip attaches to the charge cable so as not to get lost. The SoundClip was specifically designed for the iPhone 3G and will not fit/work with any others.
SoundClip is now available for $7.95.
