iTrip FM transmitter for iPod goes international
Griffin Technology has announced that its iTrip FM transmitter for iPod is now available in overseas and is now offered to our neutral neighbors, Switzerland. The devices has been limited in its overseas distribution because of strict European laws that limit devices that broadcast on the FM radio spectrum.
iTrip now has CE certification and that means that users can can take stock in the iTrip and its compliance with strict laboratory guidelines for emissions, broadcast strength, electrostatic discharge, and immunity to outside interference. The only problem is that customs officials may not be fully informed thus risking questions at the customs desk.
The iTrip attaches to the dock connector on third, fourth and fifth-generation iPods. It enables iPod users to broadcast their music to their vehicles FM radio, providing a wireless connection that lets you hear your music. The iTrip in the States retails for $49.99.
