NBC Nightly News Webcast Stats
Lost Remote is reporting approximately
200,000 unique viewers for the Webcast version of NBC Nightly News in the first four weeks. While that's tiny compared to the reach of NBC Nightly News, it's an interesting statistic. That's enough viewers to build a small business around. Not enough to save the company, but certainly enough to make the NBC Web team look smart if they're actually turning a profit with advertising dollars. Steve at Lost Remote is suggesting a conservative $12,500 monthly on the numbers, which should be enough to cover the bandwidth costs, in theory. Another zero on the end of those uniques and the monthly figure and the dollars might blip on a smaller company's bottom line.
