Apple lowers price of Mac Mini upgrades
I was somewhat critical of the Mac Mini as compared to similar PC options when the pricing was announced, in large part because I don't really believe anyone will be happy with the stock configuration. I want the iLife and I can't get the iLife with 256MB of RAM and a 40GB hard drive. I'm constantly butting up against the 60GB hard drive size of my Toshiba laptop. How would I ever get by with only 40GB, unless I also had another Mac or PC with more storage? And how could I possibly think of making an iMovie without the ability to burn it to DVD? Shouldn't be done. The upgrades are a must. You can
read more about my original gripe, knowing Apple has now knocked about $200 off my suggested upgrades. Smart move on their part, although their memory upgrade is still overpriced.
